Blake was our first German Shepherd Dog and she introduced us to their fiercely obedient, loyal, and loving nature. We got her from a rescue and she graced us with 10 wonderful years of companionship. She was very forgiving and became our first partner as we learned about Schutzhund/IPO and Service Dogs of America protection dog work.  Blake taught us how amazing it was to have a working relationship with a dog and the bond that such a relationship creates. We miss her very much and still think of how different our lives would be if "grandma" had not offered to take Blake home "just for the night" many years ago :)
